**Animal Technician**:
**Do you have experience of working within an animal laboratory environment? Do you want to be part of a technically trained team providing a proactive support service to deliver high quality provisions to facilitate world class scientific research?**

As an Animal Technician, you will carry out routine animal laboratory duties. Up to 40% of the work will involve ancillary support duties (cage processing area), which can involve heavy lifting.

You will be working as part of a team responsible for ensuring a high standard of animal care and services are maintained to support a wide range of world class research programmes at the University of Leeds. You will be required to work effectively as part of a team with staff and others to promote good working practices ensuring service adaptability to meet the changing needs of the Facility and the customers.

Experience of working with animals and a proactive and logical approach to problem solving are essential qualities for this post. You should also have 5 GCSE passes including Mathematics and English or equivalent qualifications, and you should have a natural affinity to animal care and welfare. You must want to be part of a technically trained team providing a proactive support service to deliver high quality provisions to facilitate world class scientific research.
