An opportunity has arisen within the Path Links pathology services for a Phlebotomist/Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA). There is a vacncy at both Scunthorpe and Goole sites. There is a 20hr vacancy at Scunthorpe General Hospital and a 22.5 hr post at based at Goole District Hospital.

The Phlebotomy and MLA staff work closely within the department of Blood Sciences, acting as supporting roles for both the taking & processing of blood samples that are then tested using complex analytical platforms.

The Phlebotomy service is based in outpatients & also comprises of a daily ward service.

Duties associated with the role are the support of the blood test booking line, pathology reception - meet & greet patients, taking blood samples, working in the sample reception area, loading samples on to analytical equipment.

While the role is based at your base site, there is a requirement to work cross site at both Scunthorpe and Goole, as and when required.
