We are looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join an established team of receptionists working with a 12,000 patient practice based on in East London.

Working within an incredibly busy GP practice, you will be responsible for ensuring that all patient communications within the practice and dealt with in a courteous and professional manner. You will be responsible for all aspects of the reception area including presentation, provision of information to patients, GDPR compliance and maintaining stock levels of stationery & medication. The role will include dealing with patients both over the phone and face-to-face on-site.

Ideally, you will have experience of EMIS in a surgery environment although training can be provided as long as you have 3 years experience of working within a primary care setting.

Even though you will focus will be on reception and admin duties within the clinic, you must also be flexible and able to assist the Practice Manager with ad hoc tasks. You may need to assist doctors throughout the day and manage the treatment rooms to ensure that they are ready to receive patients.

The practice is open 5 days a week from Monday to Friday between 8am and 6:30pm.

You should also have a professional appearance as well as an excellent standard of both written and spoken English. You must also be resourceful and be able to react to situations as they arise.

This is a temporary position and you will need a current DBS in order to start work.
