What will you be doing?

You’ll be working in a team of 15 and be responsible for assisting the Falls Coordinator on the Saints Foundation’s Falls Prevention Service, as well as supporting wider projects under Saints Foundation’s Health pillar of work. You will work with the delivery team and casual driver to ensure that all elements of participant transport, and sessional needs are met, whilst working closely with delivery staff and volunteers to ensure they have the tools and support needed to deliver services that are ‘Best in Class’.

You’ll be based at St Mary’s Stadium in the city centre, just a 20-minute walk from the train station or if you’re a driver there’s free parking

If you have previous experience in helping the elderly or within the health sector, then you understand what it takesyou have patience, positivity and love a chat You enjoy providing excellent customer service, have good IT skills and you’re super organised. You are passionate about doing your part for a good cause.

Essential Experience:

- Experience making and taking phone calls to members of the public.
- Knowledge of Monitoring and Evaluation, with the ability of demonstrating impact.

Desirable Experience:

- Have a good understanding of the key Health & Wellbeing services in Southampton and be able to signpost service users accordingly.
- Demonstrable experience in the health or charity sector.
- Experience of working with older adults in a community setting.

Desirable Qualifications (including certifications):

- Degree level of education or equivalent level of training/qualification.
- Dementia awareness training
- Emergency First Aid qualification.
- Safeguarding qualification.

Essential Skills:

- Excellent ICT skills to include Microsoft word/power point and excel.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and organisation with attention to detail.
- Confident and outgoing personality.
- Positive ‘Can do’ attitude.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Passion to learn and develop.

Desirable Skills:

- Ability to engage with hard-to-reach groups.
- Be able to effect behavior change in challenging groups linked to health and wellbeing.
- Driving license & access to a vehicle or reliable transportation, with the ability to travel independently across Southampton.
