am ti Swift Temps are currently recruiting a General Warehouse Operative to work for a company in St Helens

Working in a Manufacturing site, loading and unloading steel from cages, Will involve heavy lifting.

Hours - Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm and Friday 7am to 3.pm

Rate pf pay £11.50 per hour

Temporary t permanent contract

**Duties**
- Perform shipping and receiving duties, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory management.
- Assist in warehouse operations, including stock management and materials handling.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards.
- Engage in picking and packing orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Load and unload goods from lorries, utilising appropriate equipment where necessary.
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Carry out heavy lifting tasks as required, demonstrating physical stamina and strength.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with stock management systems and materials handling procedures is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality control standards.
- Ability to perform picking and packing tasks efficiently within set timeframes.
- Experience with loading and unloading goods, including the safe operation of forklifts.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily responsibilities.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 weeks

Pay: £11.44 per hour
