**Porter and Supplies Co-Ordinator** **Location: Tees Valley Hospital, Middlesbrough** **Hours: 20 hours per week, Part-time, Flexible Working Shifts**Mon-Fri 09:00-13:00, occasional Saturdays** **Salary: Depending on experience and Benefits** **Summary**: Tees Valley Hospital is part of Ramsay Health Care UK, one of the leading independent healthcare providers in England. We are proud to be in partnership with some of the most qualified and experienced Consultants, along with dedicated staff who are highly trained and pride themselves on maintaining the highest levels of patient care to encourage a full and speedy recovery. **The role**: We currently have a great new opportunity for a Porter and Supplies Co-Ordinator to join our team at our Tees Valley Hospital, based in Middlesbrough. You will report to the Supplies Manager and work within a supportive, patient-centred team. As a Porter and Supplies Coordinator, you will help keep our hospital running smoothly, handling incoming stock, managing consumables, transporting patients and equipment, and supporting clinical teams. Porters are the “heartbeat” of a hospital, moving vital items and patients, supporting flow, and enhancing patient experience. We value resilience, dignity, and teamwork. You’ll receive full induction, covering health and safety, manual handling, and job-specific training with pathways for career progression. **Duties include**: - Receive, log, store, and issue materials and equipment - Perform regular stock-takes and place orders to maintain optimal stock levels - Safely transport patients via wheelchair, trolley, or bed - Deliver medical gas cylinders, equipment, and supplies to departments - Remove clinical and non-clinical waste in line with regulations - Process delivery paperwork and maintain records **Skills and Attributes**: - Experience in stock control or portering (or willingness to learn) - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team - Flexible and adaptable to changing shift patterns - Planning and organisational abilities - Hold a valid clean driving licence - Previous healthcare sector experience (desirable) **Benefits**: - 25 Days Leave and Bank Holidays (prorated) - Private Pension - Flexible shift patterns available where possible - Enhanced Competitive Parental Leave Policies - Private Medical Cover with option to add partner and dependants - Life Assurance (Death in Service) x3 base salary - Free Training and Development via the Ramsay Academy - Free Parking on site - where possible - Subsidised staff restaurant - where possible - Concerts for Carers - Employee Assistance Programme - Cycle2Work scheme available, in partnership with Halfords - The Blue Light Card Scheme **About Us**: Ramsay Health Care UK is a well-established global hospital group with over 60 years’ experience.
