Machinist - Aerospace

**Salary**: £33,080 + Shift Allowance
Position: Permanent
Location: Cardiff
Shifts: Days or 4 on 4 off
My client, a leading manufacturing and engineering company who specialise in the Aerospace industry are currently looking for an experienced Machinist to join their team.
My client designs, engineers and manufactures a broad portfolio of aerospace components on both an MRO and OEM site.
You will ideally be a multi skilled machinist and have experience with both CNC and Manual machining.
Role:

- Milling, Turning, Vertical Boring, Horizontal Boring, and Honing
- Set up and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools and precision components onto machine beds plus adjust and operate specialist machine tools in order to perform precision machining operations
- Monitor and adjust feed and speeds during the machining process to ensure efficiency of both the machine and speed of process
- Use of a wide and varied range of precision measuring equipment
- Read component maintenance manuals, complex drawings and engineering layout information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to complete repairs of parts within specified dimensions and tolerances
- Diagnose machine or tool malfunctions and determine need for adjustment or repairs
