**About the role**
- To provide a high standard of personalised care to guests in a sensitive and respectful manner. To ensure that rehabilitation goals, strategies and procedures are implemented to comply with legislation as laid down in the Care Standards Act 2000. To represent Delamere at all levels. To ensure that the nursing team and management are kept informed of activities and developments within Delamere. To ensure that treatment practice is carried out efficiently and effectively, in line with best practice and with due reference to statutory and legal requirements.

**Major accountabilities**
- To monitor the physical and emotional well-being of all guests to be aware of changes and to alert senior colleagues as necessary.
- To assist in the improvement and maintenance of guest morale through positive communication and regular contact.
- To work as an effective member of the multi-disciplinary team.
- To attend to and assist guests in achieving a high standard of self-care, including diet, hygiene, appearance, and good routine.
- To participate in domestic duties, assisting guests in the management of their bedrooms and common areas, as appropriate.
- To observe strict confidentiality in respect of any information regarding guests.
- To complete tasks as requested by nursing team or management and support nursing team in tasks such as, ECG’S, vitals’, nursing med’s chaperone, Venepuncture, recording of results and liaising with the on-call doctor as required.
- Engage in and complete training both online and face-to-face.
- To support the nurses to monitor the detoxification and general healthcare needs of all guests.
- To chaperone clinical appointments when required.
- Diarise daily tasks that need completing.
- To support other teams within Delamere including catering and domestic teams.
- Driving the work vehicle when required
- couriering tests, samples.

Some of your role as a senior wellbeing guide will be:

- To manage, supervise, support, and assist a team of wellbeing guides.
- Recording and reporting of issues to the wider team.
- Oversee all allocated tasks.
- Complete and maintain daily records.
- Carry out any duties that have been delegated by your line manager, or nurse in charge.
- Support the induction and training process of new wellbeing guides.
- Keeping wellbeing guides up to date with their mandatory training, supervisions, and appraisals.
- Day-to-day management of assigned areas of operation.
- Conduct weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual departmental audits.

**Skills and Capabilities**

**Must have**
- Experience of supervising a team and working independently.
- Knowledge of addiction treatment sector and good overview of mental health and wellbeing
- Good Communication skills and a high level of empathy
- Full Driving license

**Preferable**
- Experience in completing physical observations, ECG’s, taking bloods and is qualified in the dispensing of medication.
- Experience of operating within a highly regulated environment with a formal governance structure
- Completed studies into care sector - NVQ Level 2 +
- Experience of administering first aid in emergency situations.
