**Anti-Money Laundering - Team lead**

Our client is a leading retail group with a global presence, committed to providing exceptional service while maintaining strict compliance with all regulatory requirements. We are seeking an experienced and motivated AML Team lead.

This role is critical in ensuring that our company adheres to anti-money laundering regulations and safeguards the business against financial crime

**Key Responsibilities**
- As the AML Team Leader, you will be responsible for: - Leading and managing a team of AML analysts in the detection, investigation, and reporting of suspicious activities.
- Ensuring the company complies with all AML laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Conducting thorough risk assessments and managing AML reporting requirements, including Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
- Providing ongoing training and development to team members to ensure they are up to date with the latest AML regulations and best practices.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for AML regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders. When required.
- Working closely with the legal, audit, and fraud prevention teams to identify and mitigate AML risks across the business.
- Monitoring and improving the effectiveness of the company’s AML systems and controls.
- Keeping up to date with industry developments and changes to relevant laws and regulations.
- Proven experience in anti-money laundering, financial crime, or compliance in a retail, banking, or financial services environment
- Strong knowledge of AML regulations, including the Proceeds of Crime Act, the Money Laundering Regulations, and relevant FCA guidance.
- Experience managing or leading a team, with a focus on performance, training, and development.
- Excellent analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to identify risks and suspicious activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with internal teams and external regulators.
- Relevant certifications such as ICA, ACAMS, or equivalent are preferred.

Pay: £26,260.27-£31,000.00 per year
