**Job Description Summary**: Are you ready to take your #engineering career to new heights? We are currently recruiting for an exciting new opportunity as a Systems Technical Lead on the Electronic Circuit Breaker Unit technology refresh for the C-130 Hercules turboprop military transport aircraft. This a great opportunity to join our Power business.

As a Systems Technical Lead, and alongside a team of experienced and developing engineers, you will get hands on with the whole systems engineering lifecycle whilst also technically leading a team of systems engineers to deliver the development, verification and integration of the C-130 ECBU technology refresh project. You will be passionate about the ‘’big system picture’’ and enjoy engaging with different engineering disciplines, bringing together mechanical, hardware and software teams, as well as considering safety, reliability and production aspects of the product.

You will have significant experience of the complete systems engineering lifecycle (including new / re-use / deltas), and you’ll thrive on solving technical systems engineering problems, in collaboration with other engineering functions. You will also technically lead the team to help deliver the technical solution to the agreed scope, protect against scope creep, and maintain and provide metrics to monitor technical activities and project progress trends. You will own the technical direction and accountability for the systems solution meeting requirements, support the project leadership in change management activities and identify risks and opportunities. All these activities will be done whilst ensuring adherence to project, company and industry standards.

**Technical**:
You will have proven experience of leveraging your experience of the systems engineering lifecycle to lead and enable engineering teams to deliver all aspects of system development and verification to your customers.

In the system design phase, you will be executing and leading activities to ensure a seamless integrated design including designing the system architecture, updating and/or creating high-quality requirements aligned to customer needs, performing detailed system development and design change analysis activities leading to updates, and implementing changes to the functional and interface components across software, electrical hardware and mechanical design. You will be responsible for leading the resolution of systems issues by collaborating with the engineering teams, stakeholders and the customer. These issues could be at a sub-system level or at an aircraft-level.

Across all phases, you will perform baseline management and configuration control / change control activities, and you will create / maintain traceability.

**Qualifications / Requirements**
- Previous experience in an aviation, automotive or similar embedded systems development environment working to rigorous standards such as ARP4754A, will confirm your experience of working with complex system designs, for implementation in hardware and software.
- Your existing experience will allow you to contribute and lead teams to design, modify and verify power distribution systems in collaboration with other technical leads, teams and our customers.
- An appropriate degree or equivalent experience that demonstrate a logical mindset, alongside good problem solving and solution building skills.
- Previous experience in leading team-based projects and providing direction and coaching to less experienced staff.
- Strong organisation and communication skills.
