**Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Bluebird Care to recruit Home Care Assistants for their home care service across Mid Essex.**

**The shift patterns vary with both full time and part time hours available and will require day, evenings and weekend working. Shift times can be discussed at interview stage.**

Bluebird Care is a national home care provider, but their office is a locally owned family business, run separately to other Bluebird branches. They have 6 offices, Chelmsford, Maldon (Mid Essex), Brentwood (Essex West), Southend & Rochford, Redbridge, Harlow& Epping, this is to ensure they are local to all their home carers and customers so that they are on hand to offer them the very best support.

Bluebird Care are proud to be rated 'outstanding' by the CQC, they have a friendly team and are often referred to as a second family Bluebird Care committed to keeping elderly and vulnerable people living in the comfort of their own homes throughout MidEssex.

As a Home Care Assistant, you will be responsible for:

- Personal care duties
- Administering medication
- Manual handling, using equipment where required
- Promoting customer health and wellbeing
- Companionship and help with activities/appointments
- Plan, prepare and cook nutritious meals
- Shopping and domestic tasks around the home
