In your first year we evaluate your performance after 3, 6 and 12 months to help you reach your potential as fast as possible.

**TYPICAL MECHANIC ROLE**

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greeting and assisting customers in store
- Servicing bikes to a high standard
- Following and demonstrating our core values
- Carrying out warranty work
- Building new bikes
- Ascertaining customers needs and booking in workshop jobs
- Building strong, long-term relationships with customers
- Serving customers on the shop floor when required
- Consulting with customers to find them the right product to match their needs
- Presenting product to the customer
- Negotiating with customers
- Ensuring exceptional customer service is achieved in all areas of the business
- Maintaining excellent retail standards keeping the workshop clean and tidy
- Ordering product
- Using EPOS system and basic computer skills
- Monitoring stock control
- Continually developing professionally
- Continually developing product and industry knowledge
- Good business acumen
- Use of business to business websites
- Processing payments and handling cash including reconciling till.
- Be an ambassador for The Bicycle Chain

- **You have 3 or more years experience servicing bikes in a busy workshop or have significant mechanical knowledge gained through work carried out on personal bikes to a high standard**:

- **You are happy to work with a performance related pay structure where you will start on a base wage, then be evaluated after 3 months, 6 months and 12 months to allow you to quickly move on to a wage that reflects your performance**:
