**Financial Accounting Manager being hired for Retail business in Oxfordshire**

**£55,000 - £65,000 + Bonus + Benefits**

I am hiring a Financial Accounting Manager for a household Retail business in Oxfordshire, easily commutable from Reading. You will have full ownership of the financial accounting routines for the company, including finance operations (AR/AP), cash management,month end reporting and external reporting. This role will lead a team of four and will report directly into the CFO. This role is seen as a stepping stone role into the Finance Business Partner role in the future. This role would be suitable for an ACA qualifiedaccountant looking for a first move out of practice into industry or someone who has trained in industry and has a strong accounting background.
- Qualified accountant (ACA qualified from Top10 Accounting firms)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Ability to coach and develop a team
- Ability to engage stakeholders across and outside the organisation, often making the complex simple

**Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to**:

- Manage the AP & AR team members to ensure accurate and clean ledgers at month end
- Finalise all aspects of the monthly management accounts, including key balance sheet reconciliations
- Support FP&A in budgeting and forecasting routines
- Reviewing all control accounts, with particular focus on cash and debtors
- Working with rest of Finance team and wider business to support the Board pack creation post
- Approve all supplier statements and oversee effective communications with suppliers
- Review output of the team with particular focus on bank reconciliations to ensure cash accuracy
- Produce both UK & overseas VAT returns and ensure all Intrastat submissions are completed before due dates
- Leading a clean and positive external audit post YE, liaising directly with the audit team throughout the year
- All tax compliance reporting, with support from external tax advisory
- Support FP&A in the drive towards enhanced business reporting and stakeholder ownership of results
