We are looking for a Nursing Associate to join our team on Henry Tudor Ward, at St Marks Hospital, on full, part time or flexitime basis. We are a small and welcoming team working on a 24 bed inpatient sub-acute ward for rehabilitation of elderly patients.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to experience the holistic side of our community services and allow you to gain knowledge of the full range of health and social services available for patients, both within hospital environment and other services in the community that can help the patient stay in their preferred discharge destinations safely.

You will be working along side a team of Doctors, ANPs, Therapists, Nurses, and Pharmacists, giving you the chance to work with a multidisciplinary team and broaden your knowledge and skills

- Undertake a full range of agreed clinical skills including venepuncture, routine ECG recording and measure and interpret blood glucose levels
- Registered Nursing associates are allowed to administer intramuscular injections following appropriate organisational training and achievement of Trust competencies
- Accurately use contemporary nutritional assessment tools and record fluid intake to identify signs of dehydration or fluid retention and escalate as necessary
- Assist in the delivery of complex care as prescribed by the registered Nurse. Develop understanding of caring for individuals with particular conditions for example dementia, mental illness, learning disabilities

**The “must haves” for you to be considered for this role**:

- Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of care and treatment in order to undertake non-complex nursing assessment/reassessment in various settings under the direction/ supervision of senior staff.
- Exercise personal responsibility and work independently within defined parameters of practice, taking the initiative in a variety of situations and performing a range of clinical and care skills consistent with the role, responsibilities and professional values of a Nursing Associate.
