**Overview**

Coastal Grains Ltd is a grain store co-operative, based at Belford. The store handles a range of cereals which are then delivered both into the Human and Animal food chains.

Out with harvest (July - September), the store is open Monday - Friday, 8am -5pm. During harvest, shift patterns will alter and at peak periods running at 24/7.

There are positions available to start from May onwards and will finish around October.

**Duties**
- Operate and monitor plant equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- The drying and handling of cereals, oilseed rape and pulses.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, including quantities produced and any operational issues encountered.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the work area to promote a safe working environment.

**Requirements**:

- Good communication skills for effective teamwork and reporting.
- A commitment to health and safety regulations is essential.
- Flexibility to work shifts as required by production schedules.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A good work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
