**Training & Development Officer**
An exciting opportunity has arisen within **C.D.A Care **as a Training and Development officer. You will be part of an established workforce with a range of internal and external practitioners supporting the delivery of our training programs. You will be a peoples person, confident, enthusiastic and have the ability to work under pressure. I.T skills are essential for the role.
**Role Objectives & Responsibilities**:
- Provide high quality training through multiple learning styles to suite our workforce and reflect our vision and objectives
- Ensure that new staff are fully competent at the end of induction and providing ongoing support
- Provide ongoing refresher training to existing staff
- To maintain training records and certificates
- Support with the registrations of new staff though social care wales
**Main Duties**:
- Deliver the AWIF induction to all new staff
- Provide training to an agreed timescale and work with managers to coordinate
- Support in the community with staff to ensure ongoing development
- Make sure ongoing personal development of staff
- Liaise with HR and the Responsible individual ensuring targets are achieved
- Complete and maintain training records and certificates to ensure compliance
- Maintain up to date knowledge of social care acts and legislation
- Embed the organisations values and objectives
- Developed and produce compliance reports
- Support with the registration of new staff through social care wales
- Work closely with QCF providers and learners to ensure ongoing development for staff
- Ensure ongoing improvements of training programs
- Contribute ongoing personal CPD and personal development
- Build and maintain relationships with local authority training departments, Social care wales and other training providers
- Ensure training is compliant with CIW / RISCA reg 36, Code of professional conduct, Social Care Wales & AWIF
**Qualification & Experiences**
- First Aid /BLS, Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, Medication Awareness, Infection Control, Fire Prevention/ Manual handling - **Essential**:
- A minimum QCF/NVQ Level 3 Health and Social care - **Essential**:
- AET - Award in Education and Training or PTLLS- Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Sector**:
- Essential**:
- TAQA assessor - **Preferred but not essential**:
- 4 years + experience in care or a senior role - **Essential**:
- Excellent Organisational skill - **Essential**:
- Computer literate - **Essential**:
- Able to work under pressure - **Essential**:
- Ability to build and maintain relationships - **Essential**:
- Excellent communication skills - **Essential**:
- Able to Plan and Coordinate training programs - **Essential**:
- **Driving license is essential for this role** as you will cover Swansea, Neath & Llanelli
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
