**About the role**

**General**

The Deputy HousekeepingManager will assist and support the HousekeepingManager with all aspects of the departmental operations. Ensuring alignment with the vision of the company, from day-to-day employee management, service excellence, maintenance and housekeeping management. The Deputy HousekeepingManager will provide leadership, using a professional and fully hands-on approach. The Deputy General Manager will act as Housekeeping Manager in their absence.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- You will be responsible for working as a Deputy Head Housekeeper in the absence of Head Housekeeper and as a supervisor when the Head Housekeeper is on shift.
- To create departmental rotas in line with the forecasted needs of business and budgets, highlighting both over and under staffing concerns to the Cluster General Manager and Deputy General Manager
- To work alongside the Housekeeping Manager, leading in the inductionand appraisal process.
- To manage the quality of room standards, prioritise workload and be able to multi task, maintaining the standard of the department in terms of daily task, allocating rooms to be cleaned per RA ,number of rooms checked per supervisor.
- Monitor and inspect the bedrooms and public areas standards also monitor standards and performance of housekeeping team with an emphasis on training and teamwork.
- Clean guest rooms, public area and back of house area as set out in Standard Operating Procedures, if required.
- Train and develop the housekeeping team to ensure housekeeping standards are upheld to a high standard.
- Allocating duties to the housekeeping team.
- Overseeing deliveries.
- To manage the supply of linen to the hotel, ensuring it meets needs from both a quantity and quality standpoint
- Assisting in the resolution of guest complaints when housekeeping standards have not been met.
- Maintain and control stock levels and order products through Concur.
- Ensure lost property is recorded correctly and stored in a secure manner.
- To comply with any reasonable instructions from superiors and to achieve highest possible standards.
- Attend regular management meetings and management training days as required
- To actively promote Bloc Hotel
- To be responsible for Health and Safety systems and procedures, ensure compliance with all statutory regulations
- Fully understand and uphold the policies within the Employee Handbook
- To comply with any reasonable instructions from superiors and to work at all times to achieve the highest possible standards

**Salary**: £27,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
