**An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant/Group Bookkeeper at our Head Office in Preston.**

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an independently led group of modern restaurants.

We are currently enjoying significant growth and require an experienced accounts assistant/bookkeeper to join our successful expanding business to support the finance function at our Head Office near Preston

**Purpose of the Position**:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the position is to assist in the running of the accounts and finance function of the business, and implementing and reviewing financial processes and systems to support our business as it continues to expand

Main duties:

- The main duties will include but not limited to the following:

- Daily sales reconciliation for all restaurants, liaising and resolving any discrepancy queries directly with the restaurants.
- Managing supplier invoices via procurement software and maintaining various financial areas of the system
- Preparing weekly supplier payment runs
- Logging all overhead invoices on account systems
- Monthly Supplier Account Reconciliations & communicating with suppliers to resolve queries and obtain missing invoices/credit notes
- Daily banking reconciliation for all restaurants via bankfeed on Quickbooks
- Assisting in the preparation of financial reports/analysis using excel to support monthly management accounts pack.
- Adhoc tasks as required to assist the growth of the business

- Bookkeeping experience is **essential**, ideally experience with quickbooks, as the role will require you to hit the ground running during this very busy growth period.
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Ability to deal with all types of clients.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise work
- Strong literacy & numeracy skills
- Ability to develop relationships from scratch
- Excellent telephone manner
- Ability to think on your feet
- Own transport due to office location
