Estabulo honours the Brazilian Gaucho’s traditional method of cooking, this involves taking the most delicious and flavoursome cuts of meat, which are then skewered and cooked slowly on open flames.

This method of cooking also means that all the meat is served fresh to the customers table, straight from the grill. Our unlimited dining concept sees customers enjoy as much meat, fresh salads and sides as they like, at a set price. As well as our main menus, we also have a selection of Vegetarian, Halal and Fish dishes on offer.

Estabulo’s beautiful restaurant interior, and dedicated bar area which serves an array of gorgeous cocktails, makes it the perfect place to dine with friends, family or for a romantic date night. We are looking to recruit a **Kitchen Porter** to join our friendly team in Barnsley.

**Job Purpose**

As Kitchen Porter, you will be responsible for assisting other kitchen staff like Cooks, Chefs, Supervisors or Managers. Your primary duties will include cleaning the kitchen, equipment and organising food and other items in the stockroom.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Cleaning and sterilising countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, ovens, grills and sinks
- Cleaning the entire kitchen once it is closed to ensure it is ready for the next day
- Maintaining the food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators
- Receiving deliveries and organising them in the kitchen
- Washing dirty dishes like cutlery, pots, cutting boards and pans or loading dishes into the dishwasher
- Removing kitchen waste from waste containers and disposing of them properly
- Cleaning and maintaining cooking equipment like cookers, pots and food mixers
- Supporting the Chef in basic food preparation like cutting ingredients, peeling and washing food items
- Providing assistance to Prep Cooks and other kitchen staff, as needed

**Essential Skills and Experience**
- Ability to communicate with other kitchen staff
- Thorough attention to detail, excellent time management and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and health regulations
- Ability to work under pressure
- Teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues
- Ability to follow all instructions given
