Baillieston Care Home in Glasgow is home to well trained and helpful staff with rooms for up to 60 residents. We pride ourselves in providing 24-hour care and specialised services for older people, the beauty of our grounds, the quality of our catering and our engaging activities we deliver.

As a Senior Care Assistant you will provide person centred care and support to assist residents to maintain their independence including personal care, mealtimes, and activities whilst also providing a listening ear to those who need it most. You will also be responsible for dispensing medication and using your management skills to ensure a high level of quality care is being delivered.

Key Responsibilities
- Helping our residents with personal support and care.
- Administration and monitoring of medications to residents.
- Maintaining care plans
- Support in training and supervision of junior and new staff members in all aspects of their work in the care centre, under the supervision of senior staff members
- Assist service users in all aspects of their care needs (e.g. physical, emotional and spiritual). Provide attention when needed whilst ensuring service users retain their comfort and dignity.
- Carry out regular checks on service users at intervals determined by senior staff members.

Essential Skills
- An SVQ2 is essential but must be willing to work towards an SVQ3
- Prior care experience preferred
