Job Summary/Purpose
To support individual s referred to secondary mental health services for assessment or ongoing care. To demonstrate the Trust values of inspiring hope, working together, to be caring and compassionate, to value and respect others/ ourselves and to be open and honest.
As a Registered Mental Health Nurse you will demonstrate and live the NMC values as identified in the relevant Code of Practice.
Your post will include working with individuals using evidence -based interventions to promote their independence and recovery whilst maintaining high quality clinical documentation.
This includes respecting individuality, values, cultures and religious diversity of clients and colleagues and thus contributing to the pr ovi s i on of a service sensitive to these needs.

To promote p ositive m ental and p hysical h ealth to individuals under the care of the service in all situations.
To support individuals to collaborate in the development of their recovery plans and structured care plans and treatment, working to build a strong therapeutic alliance.
To assess, plan and review in line with requirements of the C are Act (2014) and s117 of the Mental Health Act (1983).
To provide clinical supervision to members of the multi disciplinary team based on your clinical and professional knowledge.
To supervision junior members of staff in their clinical risk assessment and formulation of crisis and risk planning.
To promote recovery - focused care and interventions for individuals.
To ensure that all interactions and documentation is person - centred in line with NHS guidance ‘No decision about me, without me ’.
To co-produce individualised recovery plans with the individuals, carer, and others identified by the Service User.
To promote and maintain a learning culture within the team which supports the professional and effectiveness of clinical care.
To contribute to the delivery of multidisciplinary training including the induction of new staff, students and trainees.
