Endeavor is a global sports and entertainment company, home to the world’s most dynamic and engaging storytellers, brands, live events and experiences. The company is comprised of industry leaders including entertainment agency WME; sports, fashion, events and media company IMG; and premier mixed martial arts organization UFC. The Endeavor network specializes in talent representation, sports operations & advisory, event & experiences management, media production & distribution, experiential marketing and brand licensing.
What You’ll Do:
IMG Studios is a premier production centre with state-of-the art studios, post-production and live operations facilities. It houses 4 HD broadcast television studios, 9 production galleries, 3 dubbing suites, 50 edit destinations, 3 radio studios, an award-winning 3D Graphics & Visual Effects team, and one of the largest data centres built specifically for digital media and broadcast in recent times. The Master Control Room includes 5 transmission suites and monitors over 200 HD lines in & out of the building. With its own satellite farm and direct links to many of the leading sports stadia in the UK, IMG Studios is at the centre of sports and entertainment production and distribution.
We have a unique permanent opportunity for a Sound Guarantee to join our IMG Studios business, where you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance of studio and live gallery sound facilities.
Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:
- Guarantee all sound desks and comms booths (including Studios Sound Control, Live Galleries and Audio (Radio) within IMG Studios- Setup and operate talkback for live shows- Offer front line support for Live Sound Supervisors- Coordinate between Production Services, Live Ops / MCR, Digital Audio Dept (Radio) and Sound Supervisors (staff and freelance) for technical planning and preparation ahead of all live bookings and new projects- Coordinate with IMG Studios Engineering and Production Services to ensure all Studios Sound Control, Live Galleries and Audio (Radio) are maintained and fully operational for client use- Work with Engineering to troubleshoot technical issues with Sound desks - follow up until resolved, communicate these problems and timeframe for resolution effectively to stakeholders- Work with IMG Studios Heads of Engineering and Sound Supervisor to stay across technical developments & upgrades, maintenance, and licenses and form part of the advisory team to guide best practise for system architecture- You will be required to work weekends, early morning, late evenings and Bank Holidays to offer complete client & team support.
You Will Have The Following Strengths:
- Extensive technical experience in live audio- Awareness of latest TV Broadcast sound technology and developments, in particular working knowledge of: Lawo mixing desks, Riedel talkback systems, BNCS routing, 5.1 sound, Avid ProTools and workflows.- Thorough knowledge of the TV production process.- Operational experience in both sound guaranteeing- Experience of liaising with clients and engineering teams, especially in a live environment.- Experience of liaising with production clients and managing client expectations.- Experience of working as part of a team.- Excellent communication skills.- Basic health and safety requirements in a working broadcast environment.
