**Job description**

We are seeking a modern shipwright and fitter for small GRP and composite boats to join our team based in Burnham on Crouch, Essex. Whether you have years of boatbuilding experience under your belt, or are a fast and enthusiastic learner, all applicants will be considered. Training will be provided where needed but applicants need to be used to working in and around boats on a production style set up.

**Responsibilities**
- Learning and assisting with all aspects of ocean rowing boat manufacture. This includes fitting boats out, repairing broken parts, assembly of oars, cleaning, polishing and anti-fouling boats.
- Launching and taking boats out of the water as required
- Associated yard work

**Experience & Qualifications**
- Qualifications to GCSE or A-level in Maths, English Language and a Physical Science and / or A-level equivalent in a manufacturing vocation.
- Basic computer knowledge desirable.
- Keen interest in manufacturing.
- Good practical and organisational skills.
- Good verbal communication skills desirable.

Attention to detail in all areas is vital. You must be able to think outside the box and confidently find a solution to problems. You must also be dependable, trustworthy and organized. You should be able to work independently, but also enjoy teamwork.

**Location, Hours & Salary**

The job will be based in Burnham on Crouch, Essex.
Hours - Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

Salary dependent on experience.

**Salary**: £18,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
