The Inspector function will work under the direction of the operations department in accordance with the Quality Management System requirements of the organisation under the management of the Quality Manager. The inspector will ensure product conformity to customer quality requirements on a wide range of aerospace and nuclear products processed through various chemical and treatment processes.

**Responsibilities**
- Full lot inspection of first article and product realisation products
- First Off inspection of product through masking, identity marking and treatment operations
- Generation of Non-Conformance Reports for non-conforming products identified through inspection
- Support the Quality department with NCR disposition
- Validate route card conformity to QMS requirements
- Final visual inspection of product realisation products
- Support RCCA workshops to implement robust corrective & preventive actions to support continual improvement
- Review customer and internal inspection documentation to validate product conformity
- SAP MRP System adherence to load and capacity plans
- Quality Decision making to ensure customer satisfaction on all product treated and despatched
- Inspection cell ownership of calibrated equipment to QMS requirements

**Desired Skills**
- Application of manual inspection tools to inspect product characteristics including micrometers, verniers, plug gauges.
- Interpretation of Engineering Technical data include 2D engineering drawings & 3D Models
- Understanding of MRP Systems
- Observant behaviour to product quality
- Understanding of AS9100 QMS requirements
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities.
- Excellent decision-making skills based on inspection results

**Desired Experience**
- BTEC Diploma in an Engineering Discipline is desired
- Background in an Inspection or Quality Function in the aerospace industry or similar
- Good Knowledge of 2D & 3D engineering drawings and technical data
