Property Inspector

Shrewsbury’s most established and respected property management team is looking for a part-time Property Inspector to join its commercial department, working one to two days per week with scope for additional working hours/days.

As a Property Inspector your main duties will be:

- Visiting buildings that we manage to carry out a simple weekly testing of fire alarm and safety systems during which you will activate the alarm and record the outcome of the test.
- Periodic inspections of tenanted commercial properties to identify issues and areas of concern requiring attention and complete a short report for the property managers.
- Reading electricity and gas meters.
- Management of your appointments diary.

Full training will be provided.

In each case the properties are located in and around beautiful Shrewsbury.

You must be able to commit to at least one fixed day per week during which the fire alarm testing is to be undertaken. The tests must take place on the same day each week, typically between 8.00am and 3.30pm.

Periodic property inspections can be undertaken on a flexible basis.

The successful applicant must be:

- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, honest, punctual and presentable.
- A good communicator who enjoys interacting with people inside and outside of our organisation.
- Practically minded with an interest in buildings and a keen eye for detail.
- Full clean driving licence.
