This evolving charity are working with Robertson Bell in their search for a Transactional Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This newly created role will drive performance across a medium-sized team, ensuring all month-end and dailyprocessing activities are as slick as possible and all deadlines are met in a timely fashion.

**The key duties of this Transactional Finance Manager are as follows**:

- Manage a team of five transactional finance staff, providing training and development opportunities to enable them to operate at a higher level.
- Hold key oversight of all things AP and AR, ensuring all invoices are processed and suppliers are paid in a timely fashion.
- Full responsibility for preparing the balance sheet on a monthly basis, ensuring all reconciliations are completed in an accurate manner.
- Take the lead in the production of the trial balance and closure of the ledgers at month end.
- Sole charge for maintaining the organisation’s fixed asset register and preparing depreciation journals as required.
- Work closely with the line manager in the production of weekly cashflow forecasts.
- Play a key role in the development of the transactional procedure manual, updating processes in the interest of enhancing working efficiencies where appropriate.

- Previous experience managing AP and AR functions.
- Demonstrable team management skills and experience.
- Strong technical accounting and balance sheet reconciliation skills.
- Ideally, a background working in the charity sector, but this is by no means essential.
- Brilliant communication and interpersonal skills.
