Robert Half are recruiting a Commercial Finance Manager role on a permanent basis with a growing SME based in Gloucester. This role would suit a qualified accountant seeking progression and development, commercial exposure and the opportunity to influencebusiness decisions.

**The role**

The Commercial Finance Manager will be responsible for managing a team of 2, which is set to grow, and work closely with the Managing Director and wider senior leadership team. This role would suit a progressive individual who is commercially minded andkeen to add value. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Managing cash flow and cash flow forecasting.
- Managing a team of 2 to include regular appraisals and team development.
- Overseeing management accounts production.
- Budgeting and forecasting.
- Financial analysis to include variance analysis and commentary.
- Partnering with internal and external stakeholders including operations, the SLT, budget holders, the bank and auditors.
- Presenting to the senior leadership team and supporting with influencing business decisions and business planning.
- Maintain and develop reporting processes to include streamlining to improve inefficiencies.

**Profile**

This role would suit someone with 1-5 years PQE seeking a role with progression and the ability to add value; this role could progress into a Head of Finance/Finance Director role long term. Key skills/attributes to include:

- Excellent communication skills with business partnering capabilities: previous business partnering experience is not essential but you must be able to demonstrate examples of stakeholder management or process improvement.
- Intermediate to advanced excel skills (vlookups and pivot tables as a minimum).
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified with 1+ years PQE.
- Leadership capabilities.
- Commercially minded with the ability to influence business decisions.
- Solutions orientated with an eye for detail.
- An interest in renewable energy/sustainability would be an advantage.
