**Post Title**: Data and Intelligence Project Officer

**Salary**: £36,647 - £39,689 per year dependent on experience

**Hours**: Standard working week is 36 hours Monday to Friday. Hours can be worked flexibly in agreement with the Line Manager.

**Location**: West Lothian Council Civic Centre, Livingston. It is anticipated that the role will involve a blended model of office and home working. This flexible approach will be agreed between employee and line manager.

**Duration of contract**: 1-Year Fixed Term

Are you passionate about using data to improve outcomes for people and communities in Scotland?

The Improvement Service is seeking a Data & Intelligence Officer who will work alongside local authorities across Scotland, and their community planning partners, to ensure there is a strong evidence base to provide insight and understanding across two of the IS key workstreams: Tackling Violence Against Women and Girls and Adopting a Trauma-Informed Approach.

In this new and exciting role, you’ll will be responsible for developing national data sets to help support a better understanding of the needs of people and communities affected by violence, abuse and trauma, and the impact of the work taking place to address those needs. This will include: collecting, collating, analysing and reporting on data, evidence and intelligence; identifying key trends and findings; and exploring the most effective and accessible ways to present them to key stakeholders.

Key Skills & Experience
- Experience in gathering and analysing quantitative and qualitative data.
- Experience in communicating data and intelligence to a range of audiences, in an accessible way.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to work constructively with partners who may have different data needs and requirements.
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload, multi-task and work to deadlines.
