Factory Labourer

We are delighted to be able to offer this rare opportunity to join a small, friendly manufacturing business based at our client's premises in Spennymoor. With hours that are very conducive to an excellent work life balance, we are looking for a factory labourer to join the business on a temporary

Hours of work are permanent dayshift 07.00am-03.30pm Monday
- Thursday and 07.00am
- 01.00pm on a Friday. Benefitting from overtime paid at a premium rate for anything outside of standard working hours.

Due to expansion and growth of the business in recent years, we are looking to assist by appointing a factory labourer to help support the team with the manual handling and stock organisation of materials.

Duties of the role include,
- This is a manual role that does have an element of lifting and physicality on a daily basis.
- Lifting stock onto machines to be cut
- Cutting boards using bench saw (full training will be given)
- Assisting with bringing in deliveries and storing stock in the correct areas
- Helping to supply machine operators with product
- Assisting to run machines
- Manual handling and moving stock around the factory
- General housekeeping of the area, making sure the area is kept safe to work in
- Packing orders and helping to get finished products ready for collection

Desired Experience;
- Previous warehouse or factory experience would be advantageous
- Previous experience using hand tools and bench saws would be beneficial
- Experience in a manual role, where applicants are familiar with manual handling may suit this role
