**Information Security Analyst**

Henderson Scott is proud to continue to help grow the security function of one of the largest global logistics companies in the World. This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week based in the companies London / European head office

**Primary Duties**
- Research and evaluate new threats and advise on any necessary communication or extra controls to counter these.
- Researches, evaluates and leads RFP processes for tool identification, selection, including developing business cases for security investments.
- Works with different business units and teams from other regions to identify security requirements, using methods that may include risk and business impact assessments. Components of this activity include but are not limited to: Business system analysisand Communication, facilitation and consensus building.
- Responsible for the execution of risk assessment activities, analysing the results of audits (performed by other groups) to produce recommendations of acceptable risk and risk mitigation strategies.
- Works with Information Security leadership to develop strategies and plans to enforce security requirements and address identified security risks.
- Works closely with the Information Security Consultant to ensure monitoring activities by Monitoring daily or weekly security reports and logs for unusual events, as well as the follow up of incidents escalated by the Security Operation Centre.
- Acts as an escalation point and technical lead when troubleshooting the output of monitoring activities. The findings from this activity need to be monitored and an action plan must be prepared to follow up on the findings.

**Skills and Required Experience**
- The main requirement for a successful applicant is that they can demonstrate a knowledge and appreciation of the current IT threats and security measures available. This will require a combination of good business awareness and technical IT knowledge orexperience.
- Experience in developing, documenting and maintaining security policies, processes, procedures and standards.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and the associated network protocols and concepts.
- Evidence of organisational skills and team coordination.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Some appropriate technical certification such as CESG Certified Professional (CCP), CompTIA Security+ Certification, ISC2 Systems Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of information risk concepts and principles, as a means of relating business needs to security controls.
- Knowledge of and experience in developing and documenting security architecture and plans, including strategic, tactical and project plans.
- Experience with common information security management frameworks, such as International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 2700x and the ITIL, COBIT and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) frameworks.
