**Essential Information**

**Please note that Security Officers are required to search passengers and colleagues of their own gender. We operate separate recruitment campaigns for male and female security officers, to manage our occupational requirement to maintain an appropriate gender balance within our operation.**

**Job Overview**
- To protect the port facilities restricted areas in compliance with the ISPS code
- To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's)

**Main Duties**

Operations
- Gate house duties including, operating gates and barriers to allow access/egress
- Searching of persons, vehicles and plant machinery as required
- Pass issuing/checking
- Patrolling the restricted areas as required by the supervisory team
- Responding to incidents as directed by the supervisory and management team

Training
- Full training to undertake your role will be provided
- Additional training is available for other site specific roles such as emergency medic, supervisory roles, specialised driving roles, front of house positions etc

Security and Health & Safety
- Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.
- To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
