Student Loans Company is a non-profit making Government-owned organisation established to provide loans and grants to students in universities and colleges in the UK. Since 1989, we have enabled our customers to invest in their futures by delivering secure, accurate and efficient assessment, payment and repayment services.

We are looking for motivated and dynamic individuals with a passion for delivering excellent customer service to join our busy contact centre and assessment team in Darlington.

We offer permanent 37.5 hour contracts. We have the following shifts available:

- 0800-1630
- 0900-1730
- 1000-1800
- 0830-2000 Mon, Tues 0900-2000 Fri and Sat 9-4

**Person specification**:

- To join our Student Finance Officer team in Darlington you must demonstrate the following:
- Experience in working in a customer-focussed role, preferably within a high-volume contact centre or processing environment.
- A minimum of grade C GCSE English and Maths (or Standard grade) or equivalent level qualification.
- A passion for customer service with the ability to understand customers’ needs and a desire to deliver high standards.
- The ability to use your own initiative whilst working within defined guidelines and adapt to changing working environments, in a positive manner.
- A commitment to continue your own learning and development whilst maintaining the key knowledge and skills required for your role.
