**Purchase Ledger Clerk - Burlington Stone**:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team. The Purchase Ledger Clerk is a key role within the finance function. Reporting to the company management accountant, the successful applicant will liase with the various managers within the company and be a key contact for suppliers and be expected to build and maintain supplier relationships.

Hours: 22.5 hrs per week. Monday - Wednesday 9am-5pm
Burlington Slate, Kirkby in Furness, Cumbria.
£12.86 per hour

**Role accountabilities**:

- Ensuring company invoices are coded correctly and upholding controls.
- Checking VAT coding is applied correctly, preparing and processing BACs payments.
- Checking and reconciling supplier statements
- File (electronically) invoices and statements
- Processing staff expenses
- Reviewing and processing of company credit cards
- Review open and receipted PO’s and provide analysis on a monthly basis to finance and operational managers
- Set-up of new suppliers
- Liaising with suppliers and dealing with purchase queries

**Skills**
- Great attention to detail
- Self-motivated and committed to self-development
- A track record of being proactive in dealing with business administration
- Bookkeeping experience preferable but not required
- Great interpersonal and communications skills
- Self-disciplined
- Ability to establish good working relationships and work well within a team
- The ability to work to monthly deadlines and prioritise a busy workload
- An aptitude for IT and the capacity to learn new software
