Imerys UK is growing Due to the implementation of a new SAP system, the Procurement Team are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to join them. Reporting into the Procurement Manager you will be responsible for raising purchase orders, seeing these through from start to finish, you will be developing working relations with our suppliers, as well as internal colleagues across the business.

This is a permanent position, working 37.5 hours a week, Monday - Friday. The core working hours are 8am - 4pm (with 30 minutes lunch), though we can accommodate some flexibility around start and finish times.

The role

Because of the nature of this position, we require experience in a similar role, ideally using SAP, any additional experience in the importing sector would also be advantageous.

Main responsibilities:
- Raising purchase orders- Ensuring accuracy and timely processing of invoices/purchase orders- Sourcing of small, low value items under £20,000- Contract management for key contracts and suppliers- Chasing progress of purchase orders- Ensuring the SAP system is continually updated- Managing supplier and customer (internal & external) queries
