Due to rapid growth, we are now looking for **Level 3 BSL Support** to join our **Kids Planet Poulton Nursery**. With more than **140** settings, Kids Planet Day Nurseries provides the highest standard of nursery care and education within a unique environment in which children are actively encouraged to explore, learn and interact with others.

This nursery has a lively setting with lots of creativity and has a team who are dedicated to the care of children. We are looking for an individual to provide a hands-on, fun, creative and an innovative environment for children.

**Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following**:

- 1:1 role supporting deaf child in nursery, including the use of BSL, SSE and English
- To support the learning in early years and the participation in the life of nursery, whilst minimising any barriers to accessing the early years framework
- To secure effective communication that will allow for the development of appropriate peer relationships and interactions
- Work in partnership with parents, key worker, teacher of the deaf, nursery SENDCo and other professionals
- Demonstrate good practice with regard to special needs and inclusion, whilst encouraging a deaf awareness within the nursery
- Ensuring that all legislation in relation to special needs, safeguarding and Health and Safety is complied with

**The ideal applicant**:

- Would be BSL level 3 qualified (or working towards this)
- Would have some knowledge of the EYFS and experience of working with children and families would be desirable
- Would have some understanding of the safeguarding requirements within an early years setting
- Experience of working in partnership with parents and outside agencies.
- Would be able to manage and maintain administration requirements including; observation, recording and reporting with regards to learning and development in early years

Working pattern: part-time, Tues - Thurs
