Danson’s Dog Walking provides safe, structured, and enriching walks for dogs of all breeds and temperaments. Dogs travel in comfort in my fully equipped van and enjoy a mixture of public walks and secure field play sessions. As the sole owner of the business, I take great pride in my professionalism, extensive experience in animal welfare, and in building strong, lasting relationships with both my clients and their dogs.

The Role

I am looking for a Dog Walking Assistant to join me as part of my team. You’ll travel in your own vehicle, helping to collect and return dogs, and assist in walking and supervising them in both public spaces and secure dog fields.

This role is hands-on and ideal for someone who loves dogs, enjoys being outdoors, and wants to work closely with me in a supportive, structured environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Help collect, load, and safely transport dogs in your vehicle.
- Assist in walking and supervising dogs in public spaces and secure fields.
- Monitor dog behaviour, play, and wellbeing during walks and field sessions.
- Provide fresh water, basic care, and ensure dogs are comfortable after walks.
- Help maintain a clean, safe van and equipment.
- Be friendly and professional when meeting clients, and represent my business to a high standard.
- Follow my company policies and animal welfare standards.

What I’m Looking For
- Previous experience working with or handling dogs (professional or personal).
- Confident around dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
- A good team player with strong communication skills.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
- Driving licence, plus a 5 door vehicle or bigger.
- A passion for photography.

Location: Travelling in your own vehicle - Public walking routes & secure dog fields around Preston, and surrounding areas

Hours: 8:00am-1:00pm, Monday to Thursday (20hours per week) with potential of extended hours.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
