Finance Business Partner

Role - Finance Business Partner (12 month FTC) Location - Solihull

Our client is a UK leading expert in consumer finance with over 45 years in the industry they work with some of the UK's leading brands. They are now recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to demonstrate role model leadership and management skills, developingmembers of the Strategic Finance team and work cross-functionally in Commercial Finance.

**Job Purpose**
- Act as a senior finance business partner to key stakeholders, to work closely and take the lead when necessary to drive and support the Strategic Partner business line.
- Support the Head of Strategic Finance on ad-hoc requests from the CFO on new initiatives and transformation projects within the department and wider business.
- Own the financial modelling of new business proposals and present back to the management board, and external partners as part of tender processes where required to drive delivery of strategic objectives.
- Lead quarterly pricing processes and monthly P&L reviews.
- Take responsibility for delivering jointly agreed strategic requests from key stakeholders.
- Take responsibility for understanding business line strategy and delivering key strategic projects, through engaging with the relevant members of the organisation and taking the lead when necessary to ensure delivery.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Have a detailed understanding of all products offered by the client and contribute to business understanding of these products along with customer and partner performance.
- Line management of other members of Strategic Finance team where necessary, in line with the reporting structure and supporting the development for the Finance analysts in the wider Commercial Finance team.
- Manage and maintain relationships with both internal departments and external partners, to understand key deliverables from both a BAU and strategic perspective.
- Provide support and guidance through business and governance processes to ensure the best outcome in all instances as viewed by the Management Board.
- Lead meetings and discussions during the Budget cycles to ensure the correct sales levels and appropriate modelling assumptions are used in production of business forecasting.
- Act as a conduit between members of Commercial and to lead quarterly pricing process and monthly P&L reviews.
- Take responsibility for the delivery of the joint strategic initiatives across Finance and the wider business lines.
- Engage with the Data and Insight teams to facilitate the production of appropriate dashboards / data feeds with clearly articulated variances to the P&L and business case assumptions, outlining the overall longer term impacts and proposing next steps.
- Work closely with the wider Finance teams to ensure appropriate engagement and understanding of strategic deliverables and timescales.
- Ensure there is support from the wider Finance team in prioritising to meet the strategic deliverables in the timescales required and mitigating risks to the business line.
- Ensure output and results are well presented and clearly communicated.
- Conduct thorough auditable checks on work before submitting, ensuring accuracy and taking responsibility for the Strategic Finance work output.
- Contribute to operational efficiency by identifying opportunities for improving systems, data and procedures.
- Highlight and challenge change implementation where necessary, supported by reasoned and logical arguments and assessing costs, risks and benefits.
- Take responsibility for personal development (knowledge and skills) to improve performance in current job and establish a foundation for career development. This will include keeping abreast of developments in analytical tools & techniques and a full understandingof the client's business.
