About the Role:
We are currently looking for a reliable, confident, and passionate **Dog Walker Subcontractor** to join our growing team. This is a flexible position ideal for someone experienced in working with dogs, who is looking for consistent part-time work within a supportive and friendly environment.

You will be responsible for walking groups of dogs (4-6 at a time), collecting and returning them safely in your own vehicle, and ensuring their wellbeing throughout each walk.

Key Responsibilities:

- Walk groups of 4-6 dogs safely and confidently
- Pick-up and drop-off dogs using your own large, secure vehicle
- Clean and dry dogs after walks when needed (towels provided)
- Follow routes and walking locations as provided (requires Sat Nav)
- Walk in **all weather conditions**, rain or shine
- Manage dogs with behavioural needs (e.g., anxiety or nervousness)
- Monitor and report any changes in behaviour or wellbeing
- Occasionally host puppy socialisation events (evenings & weekends)
- Attend meetings with new clients on behalf of the business, if needed

Training & Onboarding:

- Full training provided over 2-3 weeks (Week 1 is unpaid shadowing)
- Ongoing development opportunities
- 6-month probationary period
- Option to complete **Animal First Aid & CPR Certification**

Essential Requirements:

- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Your own large vehicle suitable for transporting up to 6 dogs securely
- Experience handling a wide range of dog breeds and behaviours
- Strong understanding of dog body language and positive handling
- Live within or close to the West End of Newcastle
- Flexible availability between **8am-9pm**, minimum 3 weekdays
- Availability to work **alternate Saturdays**:

- Confident letting dogs off-lead in non-enclosed environments
- Up-to-date DBS certificate (clean)
- Physically fit and able to manage the physical demands of the role
- Excellent timekeeping, initiative, and communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and in all weather conditions
