Job Title: Stock Control and Finance administrator
Job Summary:
We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Stock Control Administrator to join our small friendly team. With a primary focus on stock control, this role is crucial for ensuring efficient stock management, ordering, and forecasting. Additionally, the position entails handling various financial tasks such as purchase ledger, returns and credits, monthly reporting, cashbook management, and administrative duties related to fleet insurance and driving license checks.
- Manage the stock ordering processing, ensuring timely and accurate procurement of inventory.
- Liaise with our Spanish supplier to forecast stock needs and place orders accordingly.
- Maintain price lists for different customers and update prices as necessary.
- Update commodity codes and weight information as required.
- Coordinate collection and delivery of goods to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Instigate periodic stocktaking to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Set up new products on Sage accounting software and government portals.
- Maintain the purchase ledger, accurately recording all transactions and resolving discrepancies.
- Process returns and credits, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets.
- Record customer receipts, process supplier payments, and conduct bank reconciliations on a timely basis. to manage the cashbook effectively.
- Assist in managing fleet insurance and conducting driving license checks for employees.
- Order processing to help with cover when colleagues are on leave
**Requirements**:
- Qualifications/Experience in Accounting procedures preferred but training can be given.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a wholesale or retail environment advantageous.
- Proficiency in accounting software, preferably Sage.
- Knowledge of import procedures advantageous
- Skills in Reporting.
- Strong in Microsoft 365 and in particular Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills
