We have an incredible new opportunity for a Work Experience & Admin Officer to join Landau. As a Work Experience & Admin Officer you will support the organisation of work placements for students, ensuring they align with individual needs, abilities, and career aspirations. The role involves undertaking various administrative tasks, such as maintaining student records, communication with employers and staff, and ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date. Additionally, the officer will provide cover for classroom support and reception duties as needed, contributing to the efficient operation of the department

Key responsibilities will include:
- Organise and support work placements for students, ensuring each placement aligns with their individual needs, abilities, and career aspirations.
- Support the careers and engagement coordinator by liaising with employers to secure appropriate placements, conduct risk assessments, and monitor student progress during their placements.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to students and employers (at placements if necessary) throughout the duration of the placement.
- Maintain accurate and up to date student records, including placement details, progress reviews and evaluations.
- Support communication with students, employers, and internal staff regarding work placements, ensuring all parties are informed and supported.
- Ensure paperwork is completed, filed, and stored per Landau’s policies, while maintaining business systems like databases, spreadsheets, and documents.
- Provide general administrative support to the centre, as well as organising events, projects and taster days.
- Ensure all administrative functions are carried out in an efficient and timely manner to support the overall operations of the centre.
- Support administrative functions for the centre such as tracking orders, supplies and stationery, liaising with suppliers, liaise with travel/transport providers when required.
- Maintain a presence “front of house” supporting high standards of customer service, supervision and support.
- When additional support or cover is required, answer and direct incoming phone calls, manage incoming and outgoing mail, and assist with general administrative tasks in reception.
- Oversee a welcoming and professional reception area, greeting and signing in visitors and students in accordance with safeguarding procedures, while ensuring a well-presented and safe environment at all times.
- Provide cover for classroom support as needed, assisting teaching staff in delivering educational activities and supporting students.
- Assist in implementing and monitoring health and safety policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Ensure appropriate cover is arranged during periods of annual leave or absence from the Wellington site.

Technical competency (qualifications and training certificates/licenses)
- GCSE’s to include English and Maths (E)
- Knowledge of data management systems (E)
