Gymnastics Coach

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the York City Gymnastics coaching team for General Gymnastics. We are now seeking enthusiastic coaches who share our passion for the sport of gymnastics to join our general gymnastics programme. In this role you will support each and every gymnast from beginner to advanced level to reach their aspirations within our sport.

We can offer either part-time work from 16 hours per week up to full-time 35 hours per week on a term-time basis (44 weeks per year) with pay ranging up to £22Kpa depending on experience and qualifications. Working hours will primarily be Monday to Friday late afternoon and evenings plus Saturdays.

Work will be based at our outstanding purpose-built gymnastics facility, offering over 1800m2 of dedicated gymnastics activity space complete with full GG, WAG, MAG and TRG equipment. Based near the centre of York you will be joining our team of dedicated coaches who are committed to providing opportunities for children of all ages and abilities to reach their potential in gymnastics whatever that might be.

**About You**:

- have previous gymnastics coaching experience
- the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- excellent interpersonal skills
- a strong understanding of gymnastics technique
- an effective communicator able to inspire gymnasts at all levels to approach gymnastics with joy and excitement
- be a role model championing and promoting the club to build our gymnastics community
- infuse energy and enthusiasm into coaching sessions, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere for gymnasts

YCG has been established for over 40 years and is a registered charitable organisation that aims to benefit the wider York community through the provision of gymnastics facilities, equipment, and activities to the local area. Having grown from our grass root beginnings we now serve over 1000 members, offering gymnastics in a range of disciplines for all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
