We provide specialist care for people who have an incurable, life limiting illness in our 13 bedroom ward which is located in Pontefract just minutes from Junction 32 of M62. We also offer outreach services and run a successful Lymphoedema clinic for patients. We currently have a vacancy for a Bank Health Care Assistant to join our team.
As a Bank Health Care Assistant within the Hospice you will assist in delivering basic care and other patient related clinical activities under the supervision or as directed by a Registered Nurse. You will also provide support to carers and colleagues within the clinical environment. The holistic support we offer to our patients is tailored to meet their medical, social, spiritual and emotional needs. Successful applicants will join our team of bank Health Care Assistants and will also be entitled to the following benefits: Staff wellbeing support, including Employee Assistance Programme, complementary therapy sessions, clinical supervision and access to occupational health support.
Following an initial DBS check, successful recruits will be required to subscribe to the DBS Update Service at their own cost (currently £13 annual payment).
