Production Operator

The Assembly function in Ultra assembles and wires difficult and complex assemblies, using drawings, operation sets and engineering documents. The Test function will test, fault find and identify the repair to be undertaken on a range of products to meet our customer commitments in terms of quality and timescales. It ensure that the units under test have passed all the parameters as laid down in the Product Test Schedule before releasing.

The role holder will perform the full range of clearly defined procedures, and will typically be considered skilled through on-the-job experience. Resolves routine issues without supervisory approval. Has developed skills through formal training and/or work experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Production build tasks to include:

- Mechanical assembly- Conventional PCB assembly- Surface mount hand fit assembly- Wiring and/or cable assembly- PCB cleaning (manual & automated)- Component preparation- Self-inspection- Packing product- Build product in accordance with Customer drawings, using the Production process notes as an aid to manufacturing.- Complete Production documentation with required information as instructed.- Responsible for ensuring Quality levels conform to Company and Customer Quality standards and process control.- Striving to meet zero defects. Investigating, identifying and rectifying issues affecting or likely to affect, Quality, process, product, due date conformance. Escalate in a timely manner if unable to resolve.- Ensure the shop floor is kept neat and tidy at all times - IAW FOD and 6S procedures.- Monitor and comply with Company Procedures.- Monitor and comply with Company ESD Procedures.- Monitor and comply with Company Health & Safety Practices.- From time to time you may be requested to carry out other tasks. These tasks will be within your certified capabilities or carried out with training or supervision.

Required Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience within a production or assembly environment- A good understanding of all relevant documentation used during manufacturing processes- Ability to work as part of a wider team
