An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time permanent band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to join the Wirral Memory Assessment Service. The Memory Service is a small but dynamic team offering specialist memory assessment and diagnosis and follow up for people prescribed medication before the shared care protocol is initiated.
The service operates from 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday, and is Wirral wide.
The Mental Health Practitioner must demonstrate high level of clinical skills, with experience of working within Mental Health at least to a band 5 level.
We are looking for highly skilled and competent practitioners, who are motivated and committed to delivering quality care with excellent communication and person-centred skills. Report writing and the ability to assess complex patients is essential.
You will be an autonomous, independent practitioner within a small but dynamic team, and as this post involves working across a wide geographical area access to transport for work purposes is essential.

All new clinical support staff will be required to have completed or working towards the Care Certificate (CWP In-house 2 day training to be completed within 6 months of start date).
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. A small annual fee of £13 per year applies.
New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above.
