**Are you an experienced SEN Nanny? A great opportunity working with a lovely family in East London has arisen**:
**Job Summary**: A great opportunity for an experienced and passionate SEN Nanny has recently become available. The position is for one year maternity cover whilst the family’s other Nanny is on maternity leave. You will be caring for a 5.5-year-old girl who has autism on a sole charge basis. The girl is verbal, thought her speech is delayed. She is toilet trained and a happy child and is happy to go on public transport. She has had excellent and affectionate relationships with previous nannies who she continues to see regularly.

**General duties**:

- Caring for G5.5 who is autistic and attends a small special school for children with social communication difficulties
- Nanny will do school pick up during term time from Kings Cross St Pancras/Euston, working hours commence beforehand to allow for nanny duties to be carried out in the home.
- Supporting with communication, giving her extra time to do tasks, supporting with play skills
- Maintaining a very clear routine
- Basic knowledge of Makaton is preferred, and supplementary training can be provided), as well as experience preparing visual routines for special needs children.
- Need to be active with G5.5 who loves getting outdoors and running and playing
- G5.5 special interest is cake, and she loves baking, so someone keen to bake and cook with her would be idea. She also enjoys reading about cakes and trips to cafes. Also cooking meals for G5.5.

- Previous nannying experience, and experience working with autistic children (in a home or school setting)
- Enhanced DBS and paediatric first aid at offer stage
