There is an exciting opportunity within our Trust for a Podiatrist with a specialist interest in High Risk and Vascular.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward thinking individual with appropriate exposure and experience, particularly in High risk and Vascular Podiatry. You should champion quality care, to join our specialist team to help innovate the High risk and Vascular Foot care agenda.
As a practicing Clinician you will perform specialist podiatry assessments of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to provide a diagnosis and to develop and deliver a specialised individual treatment programme across various settings, including the domiciliary caseload to benefit the patients needs.
- Expert management of the High Risk and Vascular Podiatry case load with the lead
- Safe, effective, coordination of the Acute and Community integrated Vascular and High Risk Podiatric pathway
- Joint work with the wider Directorate team and MDT team, including Diabetes and Vascular teams
- Supporting the Quality Agenda in all aspects of work
- Service evaluation and development
- Clinical supervision takes the form of regular formal training and clinical reasoning sessions, peer review and case conferences
- Access to advice and support from a more senior podiatrist is available when required
- Clinical work and documentation will be routinely evaluated
- There will also be participation of audit and service improvement activities to demonstrate adherence
- Management of a domiciliary caseload - a driver with daily access to a car is essential
- Are a friendly team of Podiatrists who want to provide the best service possible
- Continually seek to update and improve our provision for High Risk Podiatry and wider Foothealth team, particularly with opportunities presented by an integrated care Trust and soon to be completed new MMUH hospital
- Work closely with other specialists including consultants, physiotherapists, Diabetes and Vascular consultants
- Seek to develop new professional roles and models of care
- Have regular specialist meetings to ensure excellent patient care and continued team development across all our pathways
- Dedicated Monthly Quality Improvement Half Days.
- Training and development opportunities.
We are continually looking to develop and support our clinicians with new skills and training Via PDR, individual training budgets and core training needs opportunities and competencies to enhance our available interventions and services and to meet the changing needs of the diabetic foot.
