**Catering Assistant Job Description**

**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of food ensuring high standards of quality and taste.
- Provide excellent guest services by welcoming residents, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns..
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the catering area, including proper storage of food items.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards throughout all catering operations.
- Assist in the breakdown of the kitchen, including cleaning up and returning equipment to storage.

**Skills**
- Strong guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Experience in culinary arts or catering is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant, or hotel settings is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and team members effectively.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
