**Who are we looking for?**

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced People Partner to join the People Operations Team at Hemsec for a 12-month FTC. The successful individual will act as a strategic partner to Hemsec Managers, aligning HR Initiatives to our strategic goals and overarching purpose.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Partnering**
- Enable the companies strategic direction by partnering with Hemsec Managers; building capabilities, behaviours, structure improvements and processes
- Partner with members of the Hemsec Management Team to help to create a level of consistency when it comes to people management processes; reducing the discrepancies within management discretion.
- Collaborate with the People Operations team to deliver comprehensive HR service to the Hemsec Business.
- Work closely with the People Operations Co-ordinator to build strong foundational HR Processes, advising on areas of improvement and enhancing efficiencies.
- The People Operations Partner will drive Key HR Projects to enhance: employee retention, employee engagement, well-being and HR Compliance
- Acting as a mentor for the People Operations Co-ordinator; in their journey towards an advisor position.
- Act as the point of contact for Occupational Health; making referrals and escalating issues raised in Pre Placement Questionnaires to the Head of People
- Working with the HSE Manager to implement appropriate reasonable adjustments where necessary

**Employee Relations**
- Act as the HR Support for high-level disciplinary cases; conduct and absence, taking notes and coaching managers where appropriate
- Conducing high-level internal investigations for ER Issues
- Support and manage grievance procedures, in line with our internal policy
- Partnering with People Managers to create PIP plans were necessary

**Continuous Improvement**
- Supporting company wide change management initiatives with the creation of documents, packs, agendas, event facilities etc.
- Support the Head of People Operations to create standardised HR Processes; looking at areas of improvement, ways to improve efficiency & prevent duplications.
- Support the Head of People Operations to ensure all HR Policies & Procedures remain in line with Employment Law Updates & Legislation Changes

**HR Projects**
- Participate in high-level People Projects to ensure the People Operations Team meets its objectives and is continuously adding value to the business
- The People Operations Partner will support the Head of People in the delivery of an Organisational Design project for Office Based staff; including the issue of new contracts & the implementation of new roles.

**Knowledge & Skills**
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a HR Business Partner role or similar position
- CIPD Level 5 qualified, or equivalent experience
- Previous experience of managing high level ER Cases, taking notes & composing letters
- Experience in supporting managers in all areas of people matters
- Experience in developing/updating policies
- Sound working knowledge and understanding of UK employment legislation
- HR Policy and Process experience
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.

- 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 5pm, Friday 8.30 - 3.30pm (can be flexibility in this)
