Our client is an award winning and highly customer focussed financial services provider. Owing to strong growth and investment in their 2nd line capabilities, they are looking to recruit a Senior Risk Analyst with a credit risk background. Whilst our clientis based in Dorset, this role can be undertaken on a hybrid basis with some travel to the office for key meetings.

The Senior Risk Analyst will work as part of the Risk team to provide analysis and analytical solutions to balance business growth with robust risk management and controls, supported by effective governance, policies and procedures. You will be responsiblefor supporting the maintenance, development and enhancement of the regular reporting routines and identify opportunities and mitigate risk / loss in order to enhance the overall profitability of the mortgage lender along with ensuring that regulatory reportingsubmission data is accurate.

Acting under the direction of the Head of Risk, key responsibilities of the Senior Risk Analyst include:

- Prepare, develop and provide regular, appropriate and timely portfolio monitoring MI and analysis to inform the business, identify variances and trends. Support and develop origination and portfolio management strategies to maximise opportunities withinrisk appetite.
- Use data, quantitative analysis and knowledge of the portfolio to influence and drive positive change and effective strategic decisions.
- Monitor, evaluate and assess all aspects of risk strategy.
- Support the Risk Managers through the preparation of product / strategy papers and proposals for submission to relevant committees.
- Monitor developments across the credit industry and make use of external market data available to benchmark performance and inform analysis and/or recommendations where appropriate.

Knowledge / Skills Required of the Senior Risk Analyst:

- Understanding of risk management concepts
- Proven Business Analysis experience
- Experience of risk analysis methodologies
- Experience of the mortgage markets
- Adaptable and flexible, able to respond quickly to changing priorities
- A willingness to learn and explore new opportunities is essential
- Excellent analytical skills
