Public Consultation Professional
The Froglife Trust is a national wildlife conservation organisation with a specific focus on
creating and restoring wildlife sites across the United Kingdom, and for delivering a creative
and educational programme of public engagement. We are in the process of developing a new
project in Scotland. We have worked extensively in Scotland through other project delivery.
We are seeking to recruit a consultant with specific expertise in designing and delivering a
programme of community consultations. The consultations will take place across Ayrshire, South
Lanarkshire, and the Lothians. The consultations will particularly focus on communities that
are currently under-served by the Heritage Sector. These communities may include people living
in socio-economic disadvantage, ethnic minority groups, people with mental and/or physical
disabilities, people living with dementia, LGBTQ+ individuals and others who for various
reasons may feel that they are under-served by the sector.
The consultant will work with the Project Development Manager to design a consultation process
and assist the manager in delivering consultation sessions. Sessions will include a range of
methodologies to ensure that we reach a wide audience, such as in-person consultation sessions,
door-to-door interviews, virtual surveys, attending events and any other means that are deemed
suitable for the project.
The consultant shall dedicate ten (10) days to the project at a rate of £500 plus VAT per day,
total contract value is £5,000 plus VAT. Designing the consultation process will take place
between January - February 2025.
Consultation sessions and other methods of consulting will
take place between March - June 2025 (it is appreciated that the consultant will not be able to
attend all the consultation sessions, events etc., but will support the manager at one of each
of the methodologies chosen, to transfer consultation skills). The consultant working alongside
the manager will analyse the results of the consultations on an ongoing basis finalising the
results by July 2025. The results will inform the final approach to how we deliver the
